Look at this little gem that I spotted when I was having a little me time on rightmove.com. It is a delightful modern movement house with what looks like lots of original features. What potential! If it was a bit nearer, I would be in the viewings queue. According to the write up, it was designed by the architect Melville Aubin and built in 1935 and it has been in the same hands ever since. It is currently on the market through www.themodernhouse.net

Film Friday – North by North West

It’s an oldie but a goodie! North by North West is still a great film after all these years and the Vandamn House which features towards the end of the film is created in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright and is a cracking example of Modernist interiors. Tragically it is a film set and not a real house – but we won’t let that spoil a good story.
