…the current exhibition at the Strover Gallery. A gorgeous combination of pots, paintings and prints (as the name suggests) from Liz Somerville, Adrian Parnell and Sam Hall. It’s a glorious burst of colour to combat the rather bleak spring weather and really worth a trip to the gallery. The exhibition closes on Easter Sunday.

The Lynne Strover Gallery is all over Cambridgeshire Journal magazine this month and is looking, frankly, magnificent. To coincide with the article being published, they are having an open days weekend this Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11am – 4pm, and I would highly recommend a visit.  The gallery is stuffed full of gorgeous work at the moment, but if the Christmas show is anything to go by, it is going fast, so visit early to avoid disappointment!!

I popped in to see my great friend Lynne Strover at the Strover Gallery this morning to get a sneak preview of her upcoming exhibition and I have to say that I love the work by her new artist Endre Roder. Here are a few of the works and as ever, they are significantly better in real life. The private view is on Saturday 2 – 5pm – all friends of Angel and Blume are welcome, so she tells me – and the exhibition continues until 24th March.

The International Art Fair in London starts on 16th February and based on previous years, I would say it is well worth a visit. I have a small stack of complementary invitations courtesy of Cambridge based Strover Gallery who are exhibiting, which will save you the entrance fee (giving you that bit more to spend on art!). Give me a shout if you would like one.

We are big fans of the Strover Gallery, so will be heading along to the Christmas show. The perfect way to start the festive season, and an antidode to all the festive glitz and mayhem, in Lynne’s own words the show will offer an oasis of calm with ‘not a glass bauble or Christmas tree in sight, just fantastic paintings and sculpture.’

Displaying new work from selected gallery artists, it will run from  November 26th – December 23rd and the gallery is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 am – 5pm and by appointment.

Lynne Strover’s new exhibition start this Saturday at her gorgeous gallery in Fen Ditton. Paintings by Peter Joyce and Ceramics by Jim Malone are featured and I am hoping that there will also be some of Rosemary Vann’s beautiful prints to see – I know where she keeps them if they are not in the exhibition!!

I think it is really worth a visit and if you can’t make the private view this Saturday 2-5pm, the gallery will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until 5th November.
